An auction draft is like going to a delicious, all-you-can-eat buffet, there are three different stages that you should go through. Before you get to the eating part of the buffet, you have to decide which kind of food you want to start out with. Personally, I'm a running back guy, so that is what I'm going to load up with to start my draft. I plan on spending more than 50% of my budget on running backs in my first few picks. No matter what your preference is, whether it be QBs, RBs, WRs, or TEs, you absolutely must grab one of the best at your position of choice. I have been writing a lot of articles lately...not publishing them...just my thoughts about fantasy football. Here is the one that I do want to share. You see, I am going to be married. On July 4th I embark on a wonderful vacation around the world. I am truly blessed, but my wife-to-be is not the biggest fan of fantasy football because she does not understand it, she sees it as gambling. When I say it is as much gambling as the stock market she says that the stock market is gambling...that kind of ruined any chance of a retort that I had.

Right now...I am toying around with different concepts. I am applying them to lower priced fantasy football leagues, in order to see how they might work in my more expensive leagues. To me these lower priced leagues, are like R&D. Experts give you a static ranking of players...but theses gurus...what have they done? What have they won? Have they worked as a scout in the NFL for a NFL team for at least five years? Have they worked for a major D1 college program for 8 years as a coach or a scout? Have they worked in the front office for player evaluation? No they have not. What they do is, what many of us do...they sit in their living rooms and watch football on Sundays.
